We understand the entry of trauma cases takes time and resources, and the registry is a significant resource for VTCs and our profession. Thank you to your team.
Relocation of the VetCOT Registry
New cases presenting on or after January 1, 2022 will be entered into REDCap housed at the Colorado Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CCTSI). The “old” registry site housed at UMN was closed July 17, 2022. Historical registry data will be transferred to the new site and continue to be accessible. The video below highlights key changes and improvements.
How to access the new database and set up your account
A short training video and quiz are required for access and account set up.
The Data Entry Personnel (DEP) at your VTC will need to create an account in REDCap CCTSI. There are two kinds of REDCap accounts: basic and full accounts. Most VTC DEP will only need a basic account.
To receive a CCTSI REDCap account, you must complete the data entry tutorial. This online tutorial consists of four short videos and a quiz that will cover background information, data entry, creating reports and exporting data. It may take about forty-five minutes and does not all have to be done in one session. To leave the tutorial and finish later, simply click the “Save and return later” button.
For “sponsor” and “practice manager” list Kelly Hall.
After you have completed the tutorial and successfully passed the quiz, you will receive instructions on creating your REDCap account from CCTSI. Once you have your confirmed CCTSI REDCap account, you will need to email your username to [email protected] so that you can be added to the project and obtain data entry permissions.
